5 reasons to watch the event on Saturday

Saturday's Riyadh season boxing card is a must-see for die-hard fight fans.

Unfortunately, the card is split between two networks, with the entire undercard on DAZN and the main event between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight championship on ESPN+.

You can watch the DAZN card for $19.99. The main event is available on ESPN+ and is not a pay-per-view. This is how you can follow the event.

  • Date: Saturday, October 11th
  • Time: The main event takes place at 6:00 p.m. ET, with the undercard starting at 12:00 p.m. ET
  • TV/Stream: ESPN+ PPV for the main event with the undercard on DAZN

Here is the entire map.

ESPN+

  • (c) Artur Beterbiev vs. (c) Dmitry Bivol, 12 rounds, for Beterbiev's WBC, WBO and IBF light heavyweight titles and Bivol's WBA light heavyweight title

DAZN

  • (c) Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey, 12 rounds, IBF cruiserweight title
  • Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta, 12 rounds, middleweight
  • (c) Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman, ten rounds, WBC featherweight title
  • Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron, ten rounds, light heavyweights
  • Mohammed Alakel vs. Jesus Gonzalez, four rounds, lightweights

Why is this card a must for boxing fans? Here are five reasons to watch.

A legitimate, undisputed championship fight is taking place

Bivol and Beterbiev are the two best light heavyweights in the world. They own all four major titles in their weight class and their stylistic duel is fascinating.

Bivol's boxer-puncher style and Beterbiev's pressure fighting approach could be the formula for a classic fight. Whatever happens, we should crown an undisputed world champion at the end of the evening in Riyadh.

Ben Whittaker is a star in the making

If you've never seen Whittaker fight, check out his fight against Cameron on Saturday. At least take a look at the highlight reel above.

Whittaker combines preternatural reflexes, skill, athleticism and showmanship into a package that resembles a cross between Naseem Hamed, Michael Nunn and MMA star Anderson Silva.

The 27-year-old is one of those polarizing athletes that fans will love or hate. However, he is undefeated and is on the verge of becoming a world-renowned fighter.

Wardley-Clarke could be a war

After fighting to a competitive draw in March, the two men are ready to go at it again with the British heavyweight title on the line.

Wardley has a chance to become a world title contender.

At 29, his future looks bright and he has at least ten years of top competition behind him. A win could catapult him into the next league of heavyweights like Martin Bakole, Zhilei Zang and Joseph Parker.

Clarke tries to prove that he belongs in the same category and tries to finish what was started in the first fight.

Jai Opetaia wants to stay unbeaten

IBF cruiserweight champion Opetaia is looking to increase his record to a perfect 30-0. Massey fought at heavyweight and should enjoy a natural size advantage.

However, with Opetaia combining speed and power, he could be too much for Massey. In any case, we should see a showcase of the top cruiserweight in boxing.

Skye Nicholson has real star power

As the sport of women's boxing continues to grow, so do the opportunities for aspiring young women. Nicholson is one of the best young women in boxing with her 11-0 record. Nicholson has already won a world title and will defend it on Saturday against unbeaten challenger Raven Chapman.

If we're lucky, we could see another equal title fight with Mikaela Mayer vs. Sandy Ryan in September.
