Match updates, week 7 live score

A week ago, Alabama football faced the unthinkable as Vanderbilt suffered its first loss of the Kalen DeBoer era. A week later, a week filled with calls to respond as they returned home to Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Crimson Tide narrowly survived against South Carolina.

Alabama defeated South Carolina 27-19, securing the victory with a 34-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Germie Bernard late in the fourth quarter. A 31-yard touchdown pass from LaNorris Sellers to Nyck Harbor brought South Carolina within two points with less than a minute left.

A Domani Jackson interception in the end zone secured the Crimson Tide victory.

With a two-touchdown lead entering the two-minute timeout at the end of the second quarter, Alabama's lead was wiped out by 19 unanswered points by South Carolina, one saved after a fumble by LT Overton in the fourth quarter that set up a touchdown run-by Quarterback Jalen Milroe.

Alabama will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee on October 19th for a “third Saturday in October” date with Tennessee.

No. 7 Alabama 38, South Carolina 17: After the clear away defeat against Vanderbilt last weekend, a good game is on the horizon for Alabama football. While Jalen Milroe will likely feel far more pressure on offense against South Carolina's defensive line than he is used to, the Crimson Tide should be able to put enough pressure on the Gamecocks' struggling offensive line to get back in the win column.

Alabama WR Kendrick Law, listed as a game-time decision, participates in pregame warmups for the Crimson Tide. He had one-on-one conversations with DB Domani Jackson.

Nick Saban didn't mince his words when discussing Alabama's loss to Vanderbilt last weekend.
