In the battle of quarterbacks, Chicago Bears signalman Caleb Williams reached new heights in his team's 35-16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, set new career highs in single-game completion percentage (79.3%) and touchdowns (four) while throwing for 226 yards and rushing for 56 yards. Williams' quarterback rating of 88.2 was also his best single-game grade in the first six games of his career when his Bears defeated Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars in London.

Some of Williams' throws were just as impressive as his stats, like this dart to Keenan Allen for the Bears' third goal of the game.

Williams also demonstrated his skills as a runner, such as this 24-yard scramble in the second quarter.

After a slow start to the season, Williams' game has continued to develop. He threw zero touchdowns in his first two games, five in his last three, and on Sunday he nearly matched that point total in a game.

And his streak has led to team success. Chicago has won three straight and is now 4-2, keeping it competitive in a division where all teams have a winning record.

The Bears will have a bye next week before a big matchup against the Washington Commanders on October 27th.

The Commanders' rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has outperformed Williams so far this season, but the gap has narrowed significantly in recent weeks. The game against Washington will also be Williams' first chance at a signature win – every Bears win this season has come against a one-win opponent.

After Sunday's game, Williams has now thrown for 1,317 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions.
