Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron is back in the TV world with a star-studded Apple TV+ series led by Cate Blanchett!

The cast of the new series appeared at the BFI London Film Festival premiere Disclaimer on Thursday (October 10) in London, England.

Co-stars were also present Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Kline, Leila George, Hoyeon Jung, Louis PartridgeAnd Adam El Hagar.

In a new interview Alfonso explained why he cast Sacha And Kevin in the series, although they are known for their comedic roles.

“I was a friend of SachaThat was a long time ago. We talked a lot about working together and sometimes he would send me projects and all we talked about was comedy and we always wanted to work together. And only here did I offer him (a role). And he was like, “But why me? I'm not sure I can do it.' But I was sure he could do it. I know how talented he is,” Alfonso told that Toronto Star.

He added: “And clearly Kevin is such a versatile actor because he did that. I mean, it's unbelievable that he's the same person that did that Sophie's choice And The great cold. He's the guy who smells boots and speaks Italian A fish named Wanda. He's completely crazy and insane, the whole thing. So I’ve always seen him for his range, but he’s also approachable and has immense charm.”

Alfonso also said, “It happens sometimes with some of these actors. They doubt their own talent, and I think there's no question that that talent is there Sacha And Kevinwhen you see what they've done with these rolls (in Disclaimer) and how brave they both were.”
