After a warm Sunday, a cool down begins on Columbus Day, and frost is possible on weeknights. The week will feature mostly sunny skies, but residents should prepare for cooler temperatures as the week progresses.

The area will enjoy sunny skies on Sunday with high temperatures near 85 degrees. Winds will be from the south-southwest at 10 to 15 mph before turning westward in the afternoon, with gusts up to 20 mph.



On Sunday night the weather will be mostly clear and the temperatures will drop significantly to around 46 degrees. Winds will shift to the north-northwest, blowing at speeds of 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Monday, Columbus Day, brings cooler temperatures with sunny skies and a high near 65°. Winds continue to be north-northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

It will be partly cloudy on Monday night, with the low temperature around 42 degrees. The wind decreases and becomes almost calm towards evening.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny but cooler, with a high near 61. A light northwest wind will shift to the north-northwest, with speeds up to 10 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.

Expect clear skies and temperatures dropping to 35 degrees Tuesday evening. Frost spots may occur after 4:00 a.m. The wind blows calmly, making for a cold and clear night.

There could be a chance of frost before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, but the day will remain sunny with a high of 62 degrees. Winds will remain calm, coming from the north at around 5 mph in the morning.

On Wednesday night the temperatures will drop again to around 35 degrees, and there may be spots of frost from 4 a.m. onwards. Clear skies and light northerly winds make for a cool night.



Frost may return before 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, but sunny skies and highs near 67 degrees will follow, providing some relief from the cooler temperatures.

Thursday night will be clear, with lows around 40 degrees, making for another clear and cool night.

As the week progresses, residents should prepare for frost in the early morning hours, while daytime temperatures will be sunny but cool.
