Temperatures remain high, but cooling is occurring

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Happy Wednesday, Utah! The weak disturbance that gave us a few clouds and a few rain showers will exit beehive status Wednesday morning, resulting in more sunshine and, yes, you guessed it, above-average temperatures.

Conclusion?! Mostly sunny with temperatures well above normal again!

High temperatures will remain around 10 to 15 degrees above average until the end of the week. This means mid-80s for the Wasatch Front and mid-90s for southwestern Utah.

Our late week will see more of the same: mostly sunny skies, above-average temperatures and dry conditions across the region. The pattern will remain stuck in this rut next weekend.

As we approach the weekend, we will be closely monitoring the track of an upper level low off the coast of California. The data is still a bit unclear, but indications are that this system could bring some cooler air and the possibility of rain, but if the track of this low shifts, the chance of rain may not be there.

However, we could see stronger winds from the south, which could increase the fire danger this weekend, especially given the dry conditions this fall.

Of course we will keep you updated on the latest changes in our 4Warn weather forecast both on air and online, we are Good4Utah!
