Giants WR Darius Slayton injures his head against the Bengals in Week 6 of Sunday Night Football NFL

New York Giants receiver Darius Slayton suffered an apparent injury in the third quarter of the Week 6 NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals on NBC's Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium.

Slayton tried to make a catch in the end zone, defended by Bengals defensive back DJ Turner. Slayton's head hit the turf hard after colliding with Turner, who was called for defensive pass interference.

Slayton went into the blue tent for evaluation. The Giants announced via Twitter that Slayton was evaluated for a concussion and cleared. He returned to the game for the Giants' next offensive series.

Slayton played his sixth game of the season for the team in his sixth season with the Giants. He had at least 700 receiving yards in four of his first five NFL seasons.

The Giants were already without leading receiver Malik Nabers and leading rusher Devin Singletary.
