Tampa man wades through apartment after Hurricane Milton

A Tampa man gave a glimpse of where people in the area might return after Hurricane Milton as he recorded his arrival at his flooded home on Oct. 10.

The video here from Stephon Torres shows his flooded apartment in Citrus Park.

“Our apartment complex was hit by a storm surge that flooded the entire area. All residents on the ground floor had to be evacuated. Up to 3 to 4 feet of water flooded the place,” Torres told Storyful.

Also in the video, Torres checks his flooded car. “There is no option. Oh my God, oh my God!” he says while showing the interior of the car.

At least 23 deaths from the hurricane have been confirmed in the state, according to local media. Photo credit: Stephon Torres via Storyful

Video transcript

Brother.

Someone needs to tell her this isn't going to work.

Wow.

That's why I'm glad we went to my sister's house.

When we returned the house was flooded.

Also look at the car.

If we had stayed here it would have been swimming.

My car is over there.

I have to check it out.

I think my car is flooded too.

OK. Oh my god, it's fucking.

00 men.

No, you get him a car.

Yo.

Look at my car.

It's flooded.

Go away.

Why is my window rolled down?

It doesn't matter.

Oh my God, this is, yo, what the fuck?

Yes.

Look, there's no way.

Oh my God.

Oh my God.

Wow.

And some deeper.
