The Buffalo Bills had to do without James Cook against the New York Jets. Even if he's a Pro Bowl running back, you wouldn't have known it.

The Bills (4-2) defeated the New York Jets (2-4) with a 23-20 win on “Monday Night Football.” Fourth-round rookie Ray Davis took a big step forward.

Davis had 152 yards from scrimmage, the most of any first-year pro in 2024. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen was more than happy for Davis

“It was great to see, that’s why we picked him,” Allen said. “Very proud of him for doing it.”

Of all his plays, Davis impressed the most when he caught a 52-yard pass from Allen. Davis said he's confident the game isn't over yet.

“When you have a quarterback like Josh, things can happen,” Davis said. “I missed the timing terribly, but I made the catch.”
