NY Mets-Dodgers NLCS Last Minute Tickets: Best Prices

And now we're back.

After a stressful 9-0 loss in Game 1 of the NLCS, the New York Mets bounced back with a 7-3 win in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, thanks to a towering home run from Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos' heroic grand slam and five solid innings from Sean Manaea.

“It was an important game,” coach Carlos Mendoza said in a post-match press conference. “Especially after the way we played last night… it was a quick turnaround, but that's what we've done all year. We get punched in the face and we continue to find ways to get back up and that will continue.”

Next up, Mendoza's clutch club returns home to Citi Field in Flushing for games three, four and five on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

“Now we get the opportunity to go home and play three games … in front of our fan base,” Mendoza continued. “I expect it to be crowded, electric and loud. This will be fun.”

If you want to be electrifying, loud and entertaining at the House that Grimace Built, last minute tickets are still available for the three high-stakes competitions.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for seats for an NLCS Citi Field home game was $167 before Vivid Seats fees.

While that may sound pricey, our team found that prices for NLCS Citi Field started at $256 just five days ago. So if you waited until the ninth inning to buy your tickets, you can now save nearly $90 (and maybe even splurge on an extra burger or two at the Shake Shack in center field).

About the New York Mets' playoff run

The Mets shouldn't even be competitive this season.

Team owner Steve Cohen wrote off 2024 last August after trading senior co-aces Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer. He told the press: “Basically our vision now is for 2025-2026, 1925 at the earliest, more like 1926. We will do business on that.”

In the offseason, new general manager David Stearns bolstered the rotation with inningsmen Luis Severino and Sean Manaea. He also signed center fielder Jose Iglesias to a minor league contract.

Still, 2024 didn't start off promisingly; The Mets started the year 0-5.

However, they never gave up. And after Grimace threw out the first pitch on June 12, the team was in tears and refused to look back.

On the final day of the season, they dramatically beat the Atlanta Braves to clinch an NL Wild Card spot ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who magically fought their way to the World Series in 2023.

Once the Mets were in the postseason, the team of destiny caught fire and easily beat the heavily favored Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card Series.

This finally brings us to the recently released NLDS. In the first game, manager Carlos Mendoza surprisingly started Kodai Senga, who promptly gave up a home run to leadoff hitter Kyle Schwarber.

All hope was not lost. As they had done all summer, the Mets pressed again and delivered a come-from-behind road win. Although they lost the second game – after building an impressive lead – the magical club won in dramatic fashion at home.

Now, after a back-and-forth two-game stretch at Dodger Stadium, the Mets are headed home to three big games at Citi Field.

Luis Severino will start the Amazin's third game against Walker Buehler; Mendoza has not yet announced who will take the mound for Game 4, while the Dodgers' Dave Roberts has slated Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
