Golden Knights begin their road trip with a matchup against Logan Thompson and the Capitals

The Vegas Golden Knights will play their first road game of the season against Logan Thompson and the Washington Capitals.

Tonight's game will be the first of three away games before the Golden Knights return to Las Vegas. The Golden Knights are off to an incredible start, picking up wins in their first three games. The Capitals only played one game early in the season, which was a loss to the New Jersey Devils. Former Golden Knight Paul Cotter scored two goals for the Devils, helping them to a 5-3 win over the Capitals.

The Golden Knights' hot start was led by Jack Eichel, Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone. Eichel has the most points in the NHL from three with seven points, while Stone and Barbashev are tied for second with six.

Adin Hill is the projected starter for tonight after Ilya Samsonov played a good game against the Anaheim Ducks. Logan Thompson will start against his former team for the first time in his Capitals career.
