Rep. Colin Allred defeated Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate debate

Down in Texas, Rep. Colin Allred has endured a long battle against what can fairly be called Republican muscle memory in every election, let alone a U.S. Senate race. His virtual relationship with tailgunner Ted Cruz is a testament to his drive and a well-run campaign, and is, one hopes, a response to Cruz's transformation into a thoughtless MAGA drillman. Not to mention broadcasting it to Tourist on an occasion when Texas needed a real U.S. Senator because half the state was frozen. One thing can be said about Allred: The former Tennessee Titan leaves it all on the field. The two had their only debate on Tuesday evening. And if you've been waiting for Ted Cruz to be brutally taken to task for everything he's done in politics, the Texas Senate debate turned the old orgasm matron up to 11. The climax came when Allred recalled the events of January 6th 2021 summarized.

Allred was famously among the House members who attempted to defend the chamber against the mob by shoring up one of the doors while the Crazoids attempted to break it down. When the subject was brought up, Allred was extremely… well prepared.

I was in the House when we passed the vote. I remember when you objected to the results in Arizona. Maybe at home you remember where you were and what you did on January 6th. I know where I was and I know where he was. I remember when they told us to reach under our seats for these gas masks, I didn't know we had them because they had used tear gas in the Rotunda. The officials locked all the doors, we locked the doors…

And I texted my wife Aly, who was seven months pregnant with our son Cameron and at home with our son Jordan, who wasn't yet two years old, saying, “Whatever happens, I love you.” I took off my suit jacket and was ready to defend the floor of the house from the mob. At the same time that this mob came, Senator Cruz was hiding in a storage closet after spreading lies about the election across the country after being the initiator of an attempt to overturn an election.

Wow. Coming soon: A new political thriller –Mr. Smith goes for the throat.

The tailgunner's arsenal relied heavily on bashing trans people and promoting things like the SAVE Act, a flagship Republican bill designed to solve the non-existent problem of non-citizen voting.

The SAVE Act required people to prove they were an American citizen to register to vote. Congressman Allred voted no. 11.5 million illegal immigrants have come to this country under Kamala Harris and Colin Allred's open border policies, and Congressman Allred is voting no on protecting our elections and ensuring people don't vote illegally. This is a threat to democracy.

Mob violence Spurred on by a president who once slandered his wife? Pish-tosh, says Tailgunner Ted, who was caught grinning as Allred counted down that day's events. Allred pounced.

“And it’s not funny. Because you are a threat to democracy.”

And did the Mexican Tailgunner holiday come up? Yes, it did.

Allred: He's never there when we need him. When the lights went out in the energy capital of the world, he went to Cancun.

I still feel like Texas will continue to force tailgunner Ted Cruz on the Republic, but no one can claim they didn't know anything about it cheap, mean, lily punk ass thing he did in politics. At least that's how Colin Allred explained it.
