Rodrygo played in Brazil's 4-0 win over Peru and secured six points during the international break

The Brazilian national team still has a lot to improve on, but the international break is considered a success as they secured six World Cup qualifying points and are now in fourth place (level on points with third-placed Uruguay) in the CONMEBOL standings. The top six teams automatically qualify for the World Cup, while the seventh team goes to the playoffs. New Brazilian coach Dorival will look to capitalize on this momentum in November with bigger games on the calendar: Venezuela and Uruguay.

Rodrygo started again and played 70 minutes before being substituted for Andreas Pereira. The number 10 operated mainly in the left half-space and on the left wing, with Vinicius recovering from a minor neck injury in Madrid. During the two games of this international break, Rodrygo had the freedom to switch between the attacking midfield position and the wing with Raphinha. Despite the resounding win, it was an average performance from Brazil against weak opposition, with Rodrygo's own play proving quite inconsistent. Whenever Rodrygo tried to get into full swing, he was crushed by Peru – the Brazilian committed three fouls in the game, but more could have been whistled.

The good news for Madrid is that Rodrygo is coming back healthy and injury-free. Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius are already training and Saturday's trip to Vigo will be a quick turnaround for Rodrygo, who comes from South America. It could be an opportunity to rest him before a busy schedule.
