Kamala Harris calls Donald Trump “unstable” in an interview with Feisty Fox News.

Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris attacked her Republican rival Donald Trump on Thursday, calling him “unstable” and questioning the 78-year-old former president's fitness for office. In an interview with the right-wing Fox News, Harris, 59, criticized Trump – the oldest major party presidential nominee ever – for threatening to use the military against internal enemies.

“He talked about using the American military against the American people. He has talked about persecuting people who protest peacefully. He talked about locking people up because they disagree with him,” she said.

“He’s unstable and we should all be worried,” she told interviewer Bret Baier.

During the half-hour sit-down interview, Harris clashed with Baier on several questions, repeatedly asking, “Can I finish?” as he discussed her answers.

She also came under pressure over her comments last week, when she said she couldn't think of anything she would have done differently than US President Joe Biden during his four years in the White House.

“My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency,” said Harris, who became her party’s nominee after the 81-year-old Biden left office in July.

She said she would bring “fresh and new ideas.”

“I represent a new generation of leadership,” she added.

Asked when she first noticed that Biden's mental performance had “declined” before he left the race after a disastrous debate with Trump, the Democrat turned back to the Republican.

“Bret, Joe Biden is not on the ballot. And Donald Trump does,” she said.

After her interview, the Trump campaign released a statement calling it a “train wreck.”

Harris calls on Trump to release medical report

Kamala Harris this week called on Donald Trump to release his medical records, just days after determining she was in “excellent health” and fit to run for president.

According to a medical report released by the White House on Saturday, Harris “possesses the physical and mental toughness necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the presidency.”

“Yesterday I published my medical records. Donald Trump should do the same,” she wrote on X on Monday.

“I invite the public to watch his rallies and decide on his acrimony,” she said in a video accompanying the tweet.

As Harris increased pressure to know details about Trump's physical and mental condition in the run-up to November's US presidential election, Trump's campaign released a statement saying he was “in perfect and excellent health to be commander in chief.” “.

A journalist asked Trump in August if he would release his medical records, and he replied: “Oh sure, I'd love to, sure.”

However, he has not released detailed medical records since then.
