Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt & Robots

Netflix on Thursday released the teaser trailer for the next expansive story from Marvel veterans the Russo Brothers The Electric Statewith Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt and a bunch of robots.

The first look at the picture, which will hit the streaming service on March 14, 2025, comes in advance of today's panel presentation at the ongoing New York Comic Con.

Joe and Anthony Russo teamed up with them avenger Writers Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely for Electric statean adaptation of the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag. It is set in the retro-futuristic 1990s, where sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots that once served peacefully among humans now live in exile after a failed uprising.

The plot revolves around an orphaned teenager (Brown) who traverses the American West with a cute but mysterious robot named Cosmo and an eccentric smuggler (Pratt) and his robot Herman (Mackie) in search of her younger brother, the thought she was dead, but he shows up to check on Cosmo. As they venture into the Exclusion Zone, a walled corner of the desert where robots now live on their own, they find new animatronic allies and discover that the forces behind Christopher's disappearance are more sinister than they ever imagined.

The star-studded cast also includes Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander and Woody Norman as well as Giancarlo Esposito and Stanley Tucci. Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, Hank Azaria, Colman Domingo and Alan Tudyk voice the robots.

The Russos are producing along with Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Chris Castaldi and Patrick Newall. Executive producers are Markus, McFeely, Stålenhag Tim Connors, Nick van Dyk, Jake Aust, Geoffrey Haley, Jeffrey Ford, Julia Angelin, Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, Anthony Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti.
