The Austin Gamblers have their sights set on their first championship in Vegas

The world of bull riding and western sports is turning to Las Vegas this week.

CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK – The Austin Gamblers travel to Las Vegas for the 2024 PBR Teams Championship. The fifth-seeded Gamblers will face the sixth-seeded Missouri Thunder in the second round on Friday at T-Mobile Arena (9 p.m. CT).

UNFINISHED BUSINESS – While the Gamblers were back-to-back regular season champions in 2022 and 2023, the team is looking to capture its first postseason championship.

FEEL GOOD – Dalton Kasel is back and ready for Las Vegas. Kasel, the fourth-ranked rider in the world, has been out since September 7 after tearing his kidney.

THREE UNIQUES – Kasel joins Jose Vitor Leme and Kaique Pacheco as “Trip Aces” for the championship. Leme, the captain of the Gamblers team, finished the season ranked 4th in the MVP race. Pacheco, who won a Team Series championship with Nashville in 2022, finished the season ranked 11th in MVP voting.

USA vs. HER vs. HIM – As the Gamblers battle Missouri on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena, their opponents will also be the incredible animal athletes that will be among them. The Bulls the Gamblers will face on Friday include:

CHALLENGER – Prior to the Team Championship, PBR will host the finals of the Challenger Series, a summer competition that runs concurrently with the team season. Three Austin Gamblers will take part in the Challenger Finals, including Ezekiel Mitchell, Paulo Henrique da Silva and Guilherme Valleiras. The event will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at South Point Arena.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE –

Thursday Night / Ride-in-Round – The four lowest-ranked teams in the standings will compete in a four-team game at South Point Arena, with two winning teams advancing on aggregate points to clinch the eight-team championship in the T- Set mobile arena.
