The Warriors defeated the Lakers 132-74 and finished the preseason with an undefeated record of 6-0

Through the first five games of the preseason, the Golden State Warriors have won five straight, including a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday in Las Vegas. To secure an undefeated record in the preseason, the Warriors had to face the Lakers again on Friday at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

With Steph Curry sidelined, the Warriors still put in an outstanding performance and closed out the preseason in style. Six members of the Warriors scored 12 or more points as the Warriors earned a 58-point victory, 132-74, on Friday night.

Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting and four rebounds in 19 minutes. After missing Tuesday's contest with a broken nose, second-year guard Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors off the bench with 16 points on 6 of 15 shooting, along with four rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes.

Buddy Hield continued his strong preseason with 14 points, four made 3-pointers to go, four assists and four rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.

With the opportunity to compete against the rookie, rookie Bronny James scored 17 points on 7-of-17 field shooting, four rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes for the Lakers on Friday.

The Warriors now prepare to start the regular season on Wednesday, October 23rd against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors will play two road games to begin the 2023-24 season before returning to the Bay Area for their home opener against the Los Angeles Clippers on October 27.
