Days off at Brookfield Zoo Chicago

Attention, budget-conscious adventurers and animal lovers! Brookfield Zoo in Chicago is offering free admission on select days for the 2024-25 fall and winter seasons. So if you've been waiting for the perfect time to see lions, tigers and bears (oh my!), mark your calendar and get ready for a safari on a budget.

Brookfield Zoo Announces Free Days: Because who doesn't love free things?

The zoo is located at 8400 31st Street in Brookfield and opens its gates free of charge on the following days:

  • October 1st – November 26th, 2024: Every Tuesday and Thursday
  • December 2nd – December 24th, 2024: Mondays and Tuesdays
  • January 3 – February 27, 2025: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday

Now before you imagine a completely free adventure, remember that while admission is free, park and attraction fees still apply. Yes, even the most budget-friendly days have a “but.” So if you plan on parking closer than the nearest county or taking a ride on the carousel, be prepared to spend a few bucks.

On the bright side, this is still a fantastic opportunity to work off your holiday calories while getting in touch with some cute animals. Just think of it as your daily step goal with the added bonus of polar bears and giraffes cheering you on.
