Bishop is Digest Player of the Week

It usually works like this: When a veteran quarterback like Aaron Rodgers sees a rookie cornerback in the opposing secondary, he's drawn to him like a moth to a flame. But on Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium, it was the rookie who burned the seasoned veteran.

Beanie Bishop finished the game with 6 tackles, including 1 for a loss, plus 2 interceptions, contributing significantly to the Steelers' 37-15 victory over the New York Jets. Bishop's first interception came with 1:15 left in the first half, setting the stage for a four-play, 54-yard touchdown drive that cut the Steelers' halftime deficit to 15-13. Then Bishop returned his second interception 41 yards to the Jets' 1-yard line for an easy touchdown midway through the third period that gave the Steelers a 23-15 lead.
