Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made the announcement during an appearance on Tuesday 105.3 The Fan that Henry wouldn't have fit under the team's salary cap. Although the 30-year-old appears to be better than ever in Baltimore, Jones isn't convinced he would have the same success in Dallas.

“I don’t know if he would have a career year in our situation,” Jones said of Jon Machota The athlete. “…We do not carry out such attacks at all. … Derrick Henry didn’t fit (due to) compliance with the (salary) cap.”

Since the day Henry signed the dotted line with the Ravens, Jones has fielded questions about his decision not to sign the future Pro Football of Famer in free agency. This decision seems increasingly questionable as the game goes on, as Dallas has the worst rushing attack in football, averaging 77.2 yards per game.
