New Orleans Swiftie books 191 hotel rooms before concert

Hotel rooms across New Orleans are in short supply as Swiftie fans flock to The Big Easy to catch the sold-out Eras Tour, and one fan has booked 191 rooms.

Rebecca Fox booked hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn New Orleans-Downtown Superdome Hotel for four nights this week. Louisiana Radio Network Reports.

Fox booked the rooms to give fans a taste of her first experience at the Eras Tour show, and although the price was around $500 per person, she claims she actually got a bargain. Fox booked her shortly after the tour was announced Music times.

“The Holiday Inn Downtown Superdome, the very property we stay at on our block for $499.50, sold a published nightly rate of $829.00 plus taxes and fees,” Fox added.

The hotels for Swift's performance are completely booked and tickets cost $1,000.

Fox's goal was to reduce the cost of travel for those traveling to her city by reselling the rooms she booked and charging only what she paid for them. The idea grew as members of the community expressed interest in persuading Swifties to attend their “convention,” affectionately known as “Holiday House.”

“Everything we do has either a Taylor theme or a New Orleans theme,” Fox told People.

Fox offers a program of various activities for those who purchase a ticket through them, from bracelet making to scavenger hunts and more Friendship Bracelet Project website, reports people.

“Before, I literally only knew one other Swiftie in New Orleans, and now I have probably 40 really, really dear friends who live here, and I have thousands around the world,” Fox says.

Swift is on the final leg of her Eras tour and thousands are now expected to attend the Holiday House events from October 24th to 28th.
