Did Bronny James play tonight? Suns vs Lakers NBA Stats

The Los Angeles Lakers opened their 2024-25 NBA season with a stunning victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. More importantly, we witnessed NBA history when LeBron James' son, Bronny James, made his NBA debut.

The Jameses made history in the competition, becoming the first father-son duo to play in a game together. LeBron had 16 points in the contest while Bronny went scoreless. In fact, Bronny was the only Laker who saw the court on Wednesday and didn't score.

And he's still looking for the first points of his NBA career.

The Lakers faced the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, but Bronny didn't see the floor.

Bronny James received a DNP coach's decision on Friday evening. He was one of four players that coach JJ Redick did not bring into the game.

The contest seemed to be a blast at the start, with the Lakers trailing 38-23 after one game. But Bronny's chances of getting more playing time likely faded when the team returned. ESPN reported earlier Friday that Bronny is expected to move between the Lakers and their G League team in November.

The Los Angeles Lakers host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday in their third straight home game to open the season. The launch date is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
