Eras Tour opener Gracie Abrams talks to Taylor Swift about returning to shows

For Gracie Abrams, the Eras Tour feels like home.

The 25-year-old “Close To You” singer is back on the road with Taylor Swift and celebrated with a sweet message on Instagram.

After taking the stage at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19 — the second show of her three-day stay in Miami — Abrams shared a photo of herself and wrote, “I'll never forget how that felt.”

“Thank you Night 2, from the bottom of our hearts,” she continued. “I'm writing a whole love letter to Miami right now… Being on this tour again feels like coming home. I love you @taylorswift.”

Abrams opens the rest of Swift's tour, which ends in December. After graduating in Miami, the couple will travel to New Orleans, Indianapolis and later Canada to complete the tour, which began in March 2023.

JJ Abrams' daughter also accompanied the “Karma” singer on some of her previous international tours and even shared the stage to debut their collaboration “Us.”

In September, Abrams spoke about the “out-of-body” experience of his debut The secret of us Catch Swift live at London's Wembley Stadium this summer.

“We wrote it the way we played it at Wembley,” she told Who What Wear. “It was hugely important to me to see someone who had the ability to make a stadium feel like you and them were the only two people there.”

She also reflected on how the Eras tour inspired her latest album, telling the outlet, “I'm so damn happy we get to do (The Secret of Us) on Eras just because so much of the album is undeniably inspired.” “by the kind of energy that comes from both Taylor herself and her fans, who are just so dedicated and passionate.”

Abrams also revealed that performing in front of the Eras Tour audience “rewired a lot of my brain,” which helped her overcome her fear of performing on stage.

“Not just in terms of performing and stage fright and stuff like that, but in my life,” she continued. “I told myself I would hate performing. I knew I would feel uncomfortable every second I was on stage, and in the end I didn’t feel that way at all.”

In January, Abrams said the experience of opening Swift was “beyond my wildest dreams.”

“Being a small part of this tour changed the course of my life in so many ways,” she told PEOPLE, calling Swift an “incredible artist and the most generous friend.”

“It's not lost on me that her belief in me has really… made a difference,” she added at the time. “That’s why I’m deeply grateful to her, forever.”
