The Reason Taylor Swift Won't Attend Chiefs vs. Raiders Game by Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift will not be attending the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday with boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Instead, the 34-year-old music sensation will be in New Orleans performing the final night of three Eras tour shows, two of which were attended by friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Last week, Swift missed her boyfriend's game while in Miami for her Eras Tour. She'll miss another game on Dec. 8 – her stay in Vancouver, Canada, falls on the same day Kelce is scheduled to play in Kansas City.

Saturday night's performance included a surprise guest appearance from Sabrina Carpenter, who previously performed for Swift in Mexico City in the summer of 2023.

Taylor received a warm welcome in Louisiana ahead of her three-day stay, which began Friday.

The Karma hitmaker and her fandom, called Swifties, remain connected through friendship bracelets.

To commemorate the ongoing theme, the New Orleans Superdome was decorated with a giant friendship bracelet reading “Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour.”

Swift has been dating Kelce for more than a year, and she first spoke publicly about their relationship in a 2023 interview as Time's Person of the Year.

At the time, she described herself and her boyfriend as “just two people supporting each other doing what we love.”

The first anniversary of the singer's first Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium was September 24th.

And Travis has supported his megastar girlfriend by attending a number of her Eras shows and even made a cameo appearance on stage in London in June.

Earlier this year, designer Christian Louboutin said he had made more than 250 pairs of shoes for the Eras Tour production.

Speaking to Vogue, the shoe architect said: “When working for artists, it is better to start with a very large number of styles, which ultimately lead to a selection of designs that seem best for the stage.”

It was also revealed that he had come up with 60 new pairs of shoes for the pop star to take on the European leg of her successful tour.

Hundreds of rhinestone crystals were used in the collection and Louboutin noted, “I learned a few magic tricks to make sure the silhouette still looks great and the shoes are 100% easy to wear.”

Swift debuted a new segment of her concert in early May after releasing her album The Tortured Poets Department in April.

With the addition of songs also came new shoes, including a custom pair of ankle boots inspired by archival Louboutin styles.

“Joseph Cassell and Taylor were instrumental in communicating the various performances and creating shoes that reflected the genre she was wearing at the time with a modern twist,” Louboutin shared.
