A big temperature change is on the horizon, now you can expect it

TREASURE VALLEY, Idaho – If you're enjoying the cooler weather today, you're not alone. Temperatures have dropped compared to Wednesday's unseasonably warm high of 82 degrees in Boise. Today's high is struggling to reach the lows of 70.

Clouds have returned to the region, but don't worry, they will help keep temperatures mild overnight. We expect patchy smoke and partly cloudy skies this evening with lows around 51 degrees.

Friday is expected to be a partly cloudy day with a maximum temperature of around 23 degrees. It's going to be a beautiful day! However, patchy smoke will still be present.

The weekend will start off partly cloudy, but Sunday looks mostly sunny, with highs in the 79-80 range.

Next week will continue to have pleasant, sunny weather with high temperatures in the 78-80° range. But on Wednesday we expect a 20% chance of rain and a cooler high of 68.

This will be the start of much cooler temperatures for the valley as highs will dip into the 50s!

Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton hit the state of Florida with a category three, making landfall just two weeks after Hurricane Helene hit the northern part of the sunshine state with a category four. More than 3.2 million customers are without power, with the Tampa region seeing the most outages.

Rainfall will reach up to 17 inches in some areas and coastal storm surges will reach over 13 feet of water. Winds also reached well into triple digits and tornadoes were spotted in parts of the northern and southern parts of the state.
