A Fort Pierce boy is accused of firing a bullet that injured two teenagers in PSL Tuesday night

PORT ST. LUCIE – A 15-year-old Fort Pierce boy is in custody and facing attempted murder and other felony charges after he shot two teenagers late Tuesday night during a drug buy for a THC vape cartridge, Port St. police officials said. Lucie on Wednesday.

While officers were tending to the two teenagers, they saw a tan Chevrolet crash into a mailbox as it made its way through the scene of the accident. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, it crashed into a depression, Port St. Lucie police posted on Facebook.

Investigators discovered that the injured teens had planned to meet with the 15-year-old to sell him an $80 THC vape cartridge.

During the drug deal, the 15-year-old fired a shot from a handgun that hit the 16-year-old “through and through in the head” and then hit the girl in the leg as they sat in their car.

The teenagers drove away after the shooting but had an accident, police reported.

Both were taken to a local hospital. According to police, the girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the injured boy is currently in critical condition.

The boy accused of firing a gun was arrested and is being held at the St. Lucie Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Fort Pierce. He is charged with attempted murder in the commission of a felony. robbery with a firearm; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; and illegal possession of a firearm under the age of 18, police officials said.
