According to reports, the Lions' O-Linemen have to start week after week with a torn pectoral muscle

The hits just don't stop.

To cap off a brutal day of postgame injury news, the Detroit Lions have now lost All-Pro center Frank Ragnow.

According to a league source, Ragnow suffered a partial tear of his pectoral muscle during Sunday's 20-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.

The timeline for Ragnow's recovery is unclear. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Ragnow's recovery will be assessed on a week-to-week basis.

The news comes just hours after Lions head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that edge rusher Marcus Davenport suffered a likely season-ending injury and that linebacker Derrick Barnes (knee) will be out for a “significant” amount of time.

Ragnow, 28, has struggled with numerous injuries in recent years, including a serious turf toe injury that cost him 13 games in 2021. Since 2022, he has played in all but three games.

Earlier that day, Campbell stated that the participation of defensive tackle Alim McNeill (shoulder), tight end Sam LaPorta (ankle) and safety Brian Branch (concussion protocol) would be assessed on a day-to-day basis.

It's not immediately clear who will take over the centre duties for Ragnow. Lions left back Graham Glasgow stepped in for the position when Ragnow suffered a knee injury that caused him to miss a few games. But Glasgow's health is also a concern after he suffered an arm injury in Sunday's win.

Another option is reserve lineman Michael Niese, who was preparing to enter the game for Glasgow on Sunday before Glasgow ultimately decided to stay in the game.
