Al Michaels wastes another big play with a snooze worthy call

Al Michaels' five-hour energy wore off before the end of the first half of Thursday night's game between the Niners and Seahawks.

No one in football can make a 76-yard touchdown sound like a total nap quite like “Sleepy” Al. Michaels thwarted a big goal from Deebo Samuel in the second quarter to give the Niners a 10-0 lead.

Michaels seemed surprised and slowly captured the pivotal moment that deserved more excitement than Al had to offer.

For the sake of NFL fans, it is time for Michaels to end his career. He has also been compared to the feared Bob Costas, who caused a stir in the MLB postseason.

The Amazon announcer was at it again on the next drive after Seattle fumbled the ball, without any enthusiasm, leaving Niners Nation in the lurch.

Reaction to Michael's performance on Thursday night was poor, with calls for the legend's resignation after another uninspired performance at the microphone.

Kirk Herbstreit deserves at least better.

The man is a legend, but at 79 years old, Al is definitely calling him for a paycheck. You can't blame the guy, but NFL fans deserve more energy behind the microphone during big games.
