Alabama HC Kalen DeBoer talks about the Crimson Tide captain's tantrum at the end of the game

“Yeah, he was a lot better in the locker room,” DeBoer said in a postgame presser when asked about Malachi Moore's antics at the end of the game. “The guy puts everything into what he does. That doesn't make it good because we have to be top notch in everything we do. There are a lot of people who are really frustrated. The key is that we turn those frustrations into something positive.” Go ahead and make sure we don't feel what we feel here tonight and remember that feeling tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday and all season long…

“…As for Malachi, I have 100% confidence that he can do it. The frustration out there comes from the work he puts in. There were a few people who were critical from day one, from the day I came. “Here they made a statement and believed in this place, and he was certainly one of them. He will believe in him not just every game but every day and we need him to keep it that way.”

For Moore, the behavior is unacceptable given his captaincy and experience as a graduate student. That much is clear. But I think most Tide fans would be even more upset if he and the rest of the team rolled over like they hadn't just delivered one of the most embarrassing performances in recent memory.

We'll see how he and the rest of the Tide bounce back in the second half of the season.
