Another cold night, but a warmer weekend – Boston News, Weather, Sports

We still have a cold night ahead of us where many of us will experience another frost or freeze. While it was windy today, the wind will die down quickly this evening. The clear skies and calm winds we have/will have are the perfect conditions for a cold night. And that will be it. Enjoy this break in the wind tonight and tomorrow morning because it will get stronger again tomorrow evening, tomorrow evening and Friday morning.

Another cold night, but a warmer weekend – Boston News, Weather, Sports

There is a storm system south of us and it will stay south of us, so I'm not worried about precipitation heading our way. However, there will be a few extra clouds across the sky for your Thursday. Temperatures will be slightly warmer tomorrow and there will be less wind for most of the day than in recent days.

The wind will become stronger again on Thursday evening and even stronger on Thursday evening and Friday morning. Now, this isn't the typical wind map we show you with northeast when we talk about wind damage, and that's because I'm not expecting winds like that. It is not a north-easterly wind and not a damaging wind either. It's just a cool wind. The strongest winds will be felt near the storm, i.e. on the cape and islands. On the coast there is also a breeze from the east-northeast direction, but here too it is windy and breezy… This is nothing to worry about, except for the additional cold it creates.

On Friday afternoon the wind dies down and Friday promises to be a decent day! We will have plenty of sun and temperatures will return to typical mid-October levels in the lower 60s. But we don't stop warming up here! We will reach temperatures around 70° on both Saturday and Sunday. Even that pesky wind will die down over the weekend, making it some really great weather. However, due to the lack of wind, it can cool down a bit on the coast. It's not dramatic, but we'll keep temperatures there in the mid to upper 60s this weekend. Enjoy!
