Another top Duke basketball target is ready to be announced

Duke basketball recruiting staff welcomed Dwayne Aristode in late September. A few days later, the Brewster Academy (NH) senior listed the Blue Devils in his top five, along with Arizona, Michigan State, Southern Cal and NBL Next Stars.

Aristode, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound five-star prospect ranked No. 18 overall in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has visited all of his finalists.

And in his Saturday Instagram story, Aristode revealed that he will announce a winner of his recruitment on Sunday. According to the graphic, this announcement will occur at 1:15 a.m. ET – probably a typo, as 1:15 p.m. would make more sense if you want to maximize the reach of the decision.

Right now, it's unlikely that third-year Duke basketball head coach and his team will add Dwayne Aristode to Friday's two 2025 commitments from Columbus High School (Florida): five-star guard Cayden Boozer and five-star -Forward Cameron Boozer, twin sons of 2001 Blue Devil national champion and two-time NBA All-Star forward Carlos Boozer.

Finally, 247Sports national recruiting insider Travis Branham, who typically only makes a crystal ball prediction when the outcome of a race is all but certain, chose Arizona to catch Aristode. It's also worth noting that Branham rated his pro Wildcats prediction with a “high” level of confidence.
