Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is suing Ayesha Howard, who shares a child with rapper Lil Baby, over a paternity challenge.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Edwards has filed for paternity and child support.

The NBA all-star, who won a gold medal with Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris, wants to confirm whether or not he fathered a child with Howard, the outlet reported.

Edwards is asking the court to require genetic testing for himself, Howard and the minor child in question.

“If a genetic test reveals that the applicant is the father, the applicant shall request an order establishing paternity of the minor child,” according to documents filed in Georgia in September.

Edwards, 23, who has kept quiet about his children, is said to have become the father of at least three children in the past year.

Accordingly PeopleOn March 2, Edwards gave birth to a baby girl with his girlfriend, Shannon – he left a Timberwolves game during halftime to attend the delivery.

Shannon, whose last name has not been revealed, also reportedly has an older son with rapper Chief Keef.

In July, the Atlanta Black Star website reported that a woman who called herself “Ally D” on social media claimed that Edwards “had a baby girl before our son, literally a month before.”

“I was nothing but a nun, but a great mother and a cool mother. I'll let you talk whatever you want to say for MONTHS. “I am such a peaceful mother that I even prayed for the other children because at the end of the day they were my sons and siblings,” she wrote in a now-expired Instagram story.

She also claimed that she was “harassed” despite cutting off contact with the alleged father before claiming the NBA star gave birth to a third child with a third woman this year.

“Our son is 8 months old… The children were not born at the same time, just a few months apart. A little girl in September, then our son in October, then he just had one,” 'Ally D' reportedly wrote via Instagram.

It is unclear whether the third child she spoke about is the child at issue in the paternity lawsuit between Edwards and Howard.

According to Page Six, neither Edwards, his attorney nor Howard have returned requests for comment.
