2025 five-star Dutch forward Dwayne Aristode made an announcement on Sunday, with predictions still pointing to him choosing the Arizona Wildcats.

Even considering Duke, USC, Michigan State and the NBL, Aristode pulled a Crystal Ball pick on Arizona from historically accurate 247 analyst Travis Branham. As of Saturday night, On3's prediction engine predicted a 91.8% chance he would choose the Wildcats.

In a story for 247 on Friday, Branham also wrote that signing Cameron and Cayden Boozer to Duke improved Arizona's chances with both Aristode and five-star forward Koa Peat from Gilbert Perry High School.

“With Cameron Boozer taking a frontcourt spot at Duke, the already slim likelihood of Duke signing Aristode is now likely completely gone,” Branham wrote, but later added that “Arizona still needs to prevent USC from making its impending decision.” crashes.”

Aristode, a 6-8, 215-pound forward who now plays for Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, previously played for the same youth club, Juventut Badalona, where UA sophomore forward Conrad Martinez played before last moved to Arizona this season. Aristode averaged 15.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists while playing for the Netherlands at the FIBA U16 European Championship in 2022.

Aristode spent last summer playing on the EYBL circuit and for the Dutch national team. According to PDT, he had 10 rebounds and hit two 3-pointers to help the Netherlands win against Belgium.

At the EYBL's Peach Jam in July, Aristode praised UA coach Tommy Lloyd's international recruiting efforts in a Zagsblog interview.

“I think he has the ability to relate to them and understand where they’re coming from,” Aristode said. “It's not a different mentality, just a different way of looking at certain things, in basketball and in life too. So I think his knowledge makes his relationship with European players closer. Knowing that it's a different perspective on life when they come to the States. He knows that.”

While Aristode is originally from Amsterdam, Zagsblog said his father played for Montana State and the Ivory Coast national team.

Arizona does not yet have a commitment from the 2025 recruiting class.
