Badgers news: Game Thread vs. Purdue Boilermakers

After a 38-21 loss to the No. 11 USC Trojans in Week 5, the Wisconsin Badgers return to play the Purdue Boilermakers. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Camp Randall Stadium.

Wisconsin had a strong first half against USC, quickly jumping out to a 21-10 lead, but fizzled out in the second half and fell to 2-2 on the year, including 0-1 in conference play.

The Boilermakers, on the other hand, had a difficult start to the season, losing 3-1 to Notre Dame, Oregon State and Nebraska. Their only win came against Indiana State.

The Badgers, who are considered 13.5-point favorites, will look to put together a consistent and dominant performance here in Week 6 as they will be without running back Chez Mellusi, who is retiring from the team to rehab his injuries, admitted Team announced Thursday.

Wisconsin comes into the game with a few injuries, according to the injury report, with Max Lofy, Aaron Witt and Kyan Berry-Johnson listed as questionable for Week 6.
