Behind the numbers | Aaron Rodgers, Will McDonald and Tyler Conklin after the victory over the Patriots

No. 8's Night of Awards
Aaron Rodgers received a lot of praise on Thursday night, but it's worth reviewing a few things the No. 8 gave Jets fans to sing and cheer about.

For one thing, despite earning just three starts as the Jets' quarterback (yes, including the 2023 season opener), those wins have pushed him to 150 regular-season victories. We're pretty sure he won't catch No. 1 Tom Brady with 251 wins, and with 14 games left in this regular season, he can't catch Ben Roethlisberger with 165… this year. But congratulations are in order for A-Rod, who is scaling one of several plateaus. The next big goal on the horizon: He needs 321 passing yards to reach 60,000 in his career.

Rodgers also scored a strange first in his 20th NFL season when he outplayed Garrett Wilson for the duo's 2-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He has thrown 525 touchdown passes in his career, including the postseason, and that touchdown pass was the first of his illustrious career against a WR drafted in Round 1. The only first-round pick to catch a touchdown pass from Rodgers was TE Marcedes Lewis, who joined the Packers after his stellar stint with the Jaguars.

One final numerical oddity for Rodgers. We already mentioned that his 2023 season not only lasted four games, but also only lasted 4 minutes, 04 seconds before his Achilles failed. So it's interesting that in his second home game as the Jets' fielder, he lasted 70 games and held the ball for 40 minutes, 04 seconds. Interesting numerology for the Jets' No. 8.
