Big 12 announces men's basketball schedule

IRVING, Texas – The conference portion of Iowa State's 2024-25 men's basketball schedule has been released by the Big 12. Start times and TV names will be announced at a later date.

Iowa State will open its 20-game league schedule on Dec. 30 at Colorado. The Cyclones, a former Big 8/Big 12 rival, will face the Buffaloes in a conference game for the first time since March 2, 2011. The Cyclones will open the home portion of the league against Baylor on Saturday, January 4th.

The Cyclones will host league newcomer Utah on January 7th, while the Utes will travel to Ames for the first time since December 20th, 1936. Iowa State will host Kansas on Wednesday, January 15th.

Iowa State will have an extended stay in Arizona in late January as the Cyclones take on Arizona State on Saturday, January 25th and Arizona on Monday, January 27th. Monday night's game against the Wildcats is the only game on the Big 12 slate for the day.

The Cyclones will host the Kansas State Wildcats later this week on Saturday, February 1st at Hilton Coliseum before traveling to Kansas on Monday, February 3rd. The game in Lawrence is the only Big 12 game scheduled that night. Iowa State travels to defending Big 12 regular season champion Houston on Saturday, February 22nd.

The Cyclones' final two home games are Arizona on March 1 and BYU on Tuesday, March 4. Iowa State concludes the regular season on Saturday, March 8 at Kansas State.

The Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship will take place March 11-15 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
