Blackhawks at Wild – Preseason lineups, broadcast information, game thread

If you have Chicago Sports Network available, we'll see the Blackhawks debut on the new channel tonight. So we've done that, which is nice. The Blackhawks are sending a veteran group to Minnesota tonight and we should expect Friday night's game, also against Minnesota, to look like an opening night.

Since most of the additional rosters are already in Rockford, there are only a few roster spots left to fill. So tonight will be a big tryout night for a few guys hoping to open the season with the Blackhawks.

Injury report

Chicago Blackhawks

  • Artyom Levshunov (foot) and Laurent Brossoit (Knees) are out. Wyatt Kaiser is still outside.
  • Minnesota Wild

  • n/a – it’s preseason
  • What you should pay attention to

  • Today is also the first day of the Chicago Sports Network. Let me know if you have it. Because… I don't. Not yet.
  • I'll be watching AJ Spellacy in what could be his final NHL preseason game.
  • Kurashev gets a night back on Bedard's wing after playing so well there last year.
  • This is a big night for Reichel and Athanasiou. Neither was overwhelmingly impressive in camp, but Hall seemed to elevate the play of those on his line.
  • There are a lot of NHL regulars on both sides tonight, so it should be a good battle (if you can see it). Oh, and Faber is Minnesota's second defensive pairing.
  • Get caught up
