Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah immobilized, transported

CLEVELAND – Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is out with a neck injury that kept him immobile in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Owusu-Koramoah suffered the injury after a collision with running back Derrick Henry. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation but is showing movement in all extremities.

Henry's arm touched Owusu-Koramoah's neck while Owusu-Koramoah attempted to make a tackle. He was driven back and remained on the ground after the game.

After medical trainers tended to Owusu-Koramoah for several minutes, he was placed on a backboard and carried off the field. Owusu-Koramoah raised his right fist as he left the field.

Owusu-Koramoah, a fourth-year player from Notre Dame, was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time last season. In Week 8, he led the Browns with 54 tackles.

Browns cornerback Denzel Ward was also ruled out. He has the concussion protocol but has not yet been diagnosed with a concussion.

Ward has suffered five documented concussions since entering the NFL, with the most recent one occurring in August.
