Browns roster: Nick Chubb's return is the next step, with the defenseman also expected to return

The story of the Cleveland Browns season will hopefully be all about RB Nick Chubb and the team overcame a terrible start and was fighting for a playoff spot at the end of the season. The second part is highly unlikely, but Chubb's return is on track.

Week 7, a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, is usually all about the Battle of Ohio. Not this year. This year it's all about “Cleveland's Batman.”

Chubb's letter to the city of Cleveland was emotional as the Browns prepared for his return. Officially listed as questionable for Sunday on Friday's injury report, the team announced it had activated its star running back from the “Physically Unable to Perform” list.

They also removed his injury tag. Chubb is no longer questionable for the Battle of Ohio.

S Juan Thornhill joined Chubb and was reinstated to the team's 53-man roster.

Chubb's return is one of the three keys to a Cleveland win against the Bengals, but tempered expectations are likely helpful. The Georgia native hasn't seen live action or had a hit in over a year.

The Browns also increased WR/KR Jaelon Darden for this week. Darden has appeared in two games for Cleveland so far this season, including last week when he returned two punts for 26 yards. He also caught the only pass thrown his way for six yards.

Now that Chubb is officially on the Browns roster and off the injured list, how excited are you for Sunday's game? Share your thoughts in the comments section below
