Bucs star WR Chris Godwin was carted off the field against the Ravens

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Monday Night Football contest against the Baltimore Ravens at Raymond James Stadium started off well. Mike Evans caught a touchdown from Baker Mayfield, marking the 100th touchdown reception of his career.

The Buccaneers stopped the Ravens, scored a field goal and took a 10-0 lead. Baltimore then scored 34 straight points and led 34-10 late in the third quarter. Worse, star wide receiver Mike Evans left early in the game with a hamstring injury.

While the night had gone from bad to worse as the Buccaneers continued to lose points on defense and struggled on offense, a late attempt to win the game would ultimately hurt them the most. Three touchdowns from Rachaad White and Bucky Irving cut Tampa Bay's deficit to 41-31 and gave them hope as they had the ball in their possession at the two-minute mark.

Mayfield connected with Chris Godwin, who was tackled and stayed down. The car came onto the field and Godwin received an air cast on his left leg.

The Buccaneers lost their two best wide receivers and two of their team's best players in a brutal loss on Monday night. To make matters worse, the game was virtually over with 41 seconds left when Godwin was injured.
