CAPTURED ON VIDEO: Self-driving cars get stuck on motorcade route as Vice President Kamala Harris returns to San Francisco for fundraiser

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — Vice President Kamala Harris is making what may be her final visit to California before the election.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Friday, the vice president landed at San Francisco International Airport.

As their motorcade arrived at the Fairmont San Francisco, an autonomous Waymo got stuck making a turn. A San Francisco police officer had to manually move the vehicle out of the way.

San Francisco resident Riccardo Benavides lives in the neighborhood.

“Nowhere else in the city, nowhere else in the world do people come to see this. So we saw it,” Benavides said.

We reached out to Waymo and have not yet received a response.

San Francisco residents are complaining after Waymo cars honked at each other throughout the night.

Earlier in the day, Harris traveled to the border in Arizona for the first time in years.

Harris expressed a tougher stance on illegal immigration.

She spoke to local border guards as they walked along the wall.

“There are consequential issues at stake in this election, and one of them is the security of our border. The United States is a sovereign nation and I believe we have a duty to set and enforce rules at our border,” Harris said.

The election is less than 40 days away.

Harris is spending the night at the Fairmont Hotel – on Saturday she is hosting a private fundraiser at the Palace of Fine Arts.

The hotel is the same location where she held an event in August that raised more than $13 million for her campaign.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, tickets for Saturday's fundraiser range from $500 to $2,800.

Bill James is chairman of the Santa Clara County Democratic Party.

“I think this at least makes it affordable for another group of strong supporters who may not have been there because of previous events,” James said.

Harris' fundraising tripled Trump's in August. James said the significant amount raised will be used to penetrate mid-markets and battleground states.

“A lot of people have actually formed an opinion about Donald Trump – people like him or dislike him, there aren't many people who don't know anything about him and have yet to form an opinion. But for Vice President Harris: “She's benefited from the news of getting into the race late, a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of positive energy, but I think some voters in the middle still have the question: Who is Kamala Harris?” “Is this a person I can see as my president?” James said.
