Cardinals take NFC West lead with win over Miami, Seattle's loss to Buffalo

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Miami Dolphins 28-27 on Sunday, marking back-to-back wins for the first time since 2021.

And if things couldn't go better for Valley fans, the Seattle Seahawks lost to the Buffalo Bills, meaning Arizona sits atop the NFC West based on its divisional record.

The Cardinals and Seahawks are both 4-4 this season, and if the San Francisco 49ers (3-4) beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, there will be a three-way tie for first place, with the Cardinals holding on to the tiebreaker the other two teams.

For a team that has dealt with a lot of adversity in the injury department for most of the season, going 4-4 is no reason for Arizona to rest.

On Sunday, quarterback Kyler Murray combined with receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for six catches (seven scores) and 111 yards. He also integrated Trey McBride, who had nine catches for 124 yards. Murray finished the win with 307 yards and two touchdowns on 26 of 36 passes.

Miami converted 11 of 15 third downs, signaling room for improvement on defense.

But on the other hand, there is also reason to believe so.

Arizona's next four opponents? The Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Seattle and the Minnesota Vikings.

This is the perfect time for the Cardinals to capitalize on a tight schedule and potentially compete for the division title, something they haven't done since 2015.
