Celine Dion is really into the NFL, “Sunday Night Football”

NFL fans waited almost an hour and a half for the game last night Football on Sunday evenings Game to start. Ostensibly the delay was due to thunderstorms in Pittsburgh, but in reality it took fans some time to realize what they had seen just before the delay. That was a SNF Promo spoken by none other than Céline Dion. What was a French-Canadian woman with no supposed affinity for football who makes very few public appearances these days to earn shillings for the NFL? Your guess is as good as anyone else's. But we take it because the resulting clip Is pretty amazing.

“I think what I like most about this game is its ability to connect us with who we are,” Dion says of the opening piano chords of “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” “To prove that our strongest memories, our most enduring loves, can stay with us forever.” Of course, she's talking about the rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, which was fueled during some of the first Super Bowls and now just all of them is held for four years. “The love affair,” she continues in a Super Bowl XXX sweater. “Well, maybe I don't like it the way I normally sing about it, but still, work with me here!” Oh, that's us. Dion really pulls off the whole ruse, playing the tongue-in-cheek drama and earning every penny of her NFL salary. “Like so many old flames, it always feels right when they're together again, don't you think?” she asks. And we do, Céline – especially when it comes to one of your power ballads.
