Celine Dion stars in the video for the Steelers-Cowboys' Sunday Night Football opener

Celine Dion made a special appearance on Sunday Night Football before the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys.

Hours before kickoff, “Sunday Night Football” announced the music superstar’s upcoming appearance on the NBC broadcast.

The official “SNF” X account uploaded a video showing Dion walking down a hallway while the intro to her hit ballad “It's All Coming Back to Me Now” played in the background. She stared into the camera and folded her arms over her Steelers and Cowboys sweatshirt.

“It all comes back to Sunday night,” the cheeky caption read. Dion also shared the post on her social media pages.

At the start of Sunday's show, Dion's involvement in the show was revealed.

Shortly before the delayed kickoff, Dion appeared in a video aimed at football fans that included clips from the legendary Steelers-Cowboys rivalry. As she narrated the segment, “It's All Coming Back to Me Now” played in the background.

“I think what I like most about this game is its ability to connect us with who we are,” she began, as the clip cut to a close-up of her Taking Chances album.

The singer continued, “To prove that our strongest memories, our most enduring loves, can stay with us forever.”

“You know what I'm talking about, right?” she asked the audience. “Some nights it all just comes back.”

Dion's video helped get NFL fans excited for the Cowboys-Steelers showdown, which marks the first time the two teams will face each other in a primetime game since 1982. It is also the first NBC duel between the Cowboys and Steelers since 1996.

“Like so many old flames, it always feels right when they are back together. Don't you think so? Like tonight, evoking the kind of magic they once created. “The Cowboys and the Steelers, a timeless classic, on Sunday night,” Dion concluded.

At the end of the video, the icon took part in a football tradition and had Gatorade poured over his head. She celebrated, pumping her fist in the air.

Dion's “SNF” performance follows her performance this summer at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She delivered a flawless rendition of Edith Piaf's “Hymne à l'amour” from the Eiffel Tower.

It was her first public appearance since she announced her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome in December 2022.
