Chicago Sports Network is scheduled to appear on Astound RCN when it launches Tuesday

The Chicago Sports Network and Astound RCN have reached a carriage agreement, and those customers should see the new home of the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks when it opens Tuesday at 5 p.m., the Sun-Times has learned.

Negotiations are currently underway between CHSN and Comcast, the largest cable provider in the region, but those customers likely won't have access to the channel at launch.

CHSN has already announced that it will be available on DirecTV, DirecTV Stream and U-Verse, as well as channels 62.2 and 62.3, subchannels of WJYS-Channel 62 in Hammond, Indiana. Fans must purchase and connect an antenna to receive the over-the-air signal. Instructions can be found on the network's website, CHSN.com.

CHSN's first program will be “Game On, Chicago,” a two-hour special hosted by Bulls play-by-play voice Adam Amin and introducing the network. The Hawks' preseason game against the Wild follows.

Earlier Monday, CHSN announced its three daily studio shows:

• “The Chicago Lead,” which covers the city’s sports scene and serves as the station’s “cornerstone show.” Presenters include The Score's Brooke Fletcher, Camron Smith and David Haugh.
• “The Big College Football Show” with former Michigan star Jake Butt and former Ohio State star Joshua Perry.
• “The Big Pro Football Show” with Haugh, NBC 5 sports anchor Ruthie Polinsky and former NFL tight end Clay Harbor.

“As we developed these shows, our most important concerns were to create a vehicle to serve and engage with Chicago sports fans in new and compelling ways and to create a nighttime destination and welcoming home for fans of all Chicago teams “said network president Jason Coyle in the press release.

“As part of this process, we are also developing a multi-platform approach and an interactive fan platform, which will be rolled out in the coming months.”
