Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster leaves the matchup against the 49ers

The Kansas City Chiefs' receiving corps has been plagued by injuries this season, and it appears the group will be without one of its most established players for the remainder of the defending champions' Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers after veteran wideout JuJu Smith- Schuster left the game due to a hamstring injury.

Without Smith-Schuster on the field, the Chiefs will have to rely on Skyy Moore, Justin Watson, Mecole Hardman and Xavier Worthy to give reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes options in the passing game.

Smith-Schuster's return is doubtful for now, but his early exit from Sunday's game against San Francisco doesn't bode well for Kansas City.

Chiefs fans were distraught on Twitter when Smith-Schuster left the game and expressed concern for him when news of his status broke:
