Alabama football's next SEC assignment takes the Crimson Tide to Nashville, Tennessee.

No. 2 Alabama will face Vanderbilt for the third time in 10 years on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at FirstBank Stadium on the SEC Network. The Crimson Tide have not played a road game against the Commodores since September 23, 2017, when Alabama defeated Vanderbilt 59-0.

Alabama has historically dominated Vanderbilt.

The Crimson Tide's 60 wins against the Commodores are the second most against an SEC program that Alabama has ever faced. Alabama has 86 wins against Mississippi State.

Aside from three lost or lost victories by Alabama in 1993, 2006 and 2007, Vanderbilt has recorded 17 wins against the Crimson Tide since their first meeting in 1903. The Commodores defeated Alabama five straight times from 1903 to 1919 before the Crimson Tide earned their first victory in 1920.

When was Vanderbilt's last win against Alabama?

Vanderbilt's most recent outright win against Alabama was one of the Crimson Tide's six losses during the 1984 season.

The Commodores ended a 26-game winning streak for Alabama, defeating the Crimson Tide 30-21 during their homecoming game. Alabama led 10-9 at halftime, but Vanderbilt used 200 yards of second-half offense and scoring from quarterback Kurt Page and running back Carl Woods to secure the win in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama vs. Vanderbilt: When was the Crimson Tide's last road loss to the Commodores?

Alabama's last loss to Vanderbilt in Nashville came in the 1969 season, when the Crimson Tide finished 6-5 overall.

The Commodores were the Crimson Tide's first loss of the season after wins against Virginia Tech, Southern Miss and Ole Miss. Vanderbilt secured the 14-10 win over Alabama with a touchdown from Watson Brown to Jim Cunningham in the fourth quarter.
