While Al Nassr claimed their first win in Group B, Ronaldo also reached a pretty impressive landmark.

Ronaldo's goal against Al Rayyan means he has now scored more goals in his 30s than in his 20s.

The 39-year-old has scored an incredible 441 goals since his 30th birthday, a tally he achieved in just 523 games.

That's in contrast to the 440 goals he scored in his 20s, in 596 games.

Ronaldo turned 30 on February 5, 2015 while playing for Real Madrid.

During his time at Santiago Bernabeu, the Portuguese superstar transformed from winger to outright centre-forward – a position that allowed him to become a much more ruthless goalscoring force.

This means that Ronaldo's 441 goals in his 30s came during his time in Madrid along with his spells at Juventus, Manchester United, Al Nassr and Portugal, where he scored 132 goals for his national team.

His goal against Al Rayyan was also the 904th goal that Ronaldo has scored in his career so far.

He has already signaled that he wants to reach 1,000 career goals before retiring.

Brazil icon Pele is considered by some to be the greatest goalscorer of all time, with Fifa He is credited with 1,281 goals, but it is now generally accepted that hundreds of those goals came in friendlies.

Before reaching the 900 goal mark, Ronaldo told Ferdinand: “I want to reach 1,000 goals.

“For me, scoring the first 900 goals is the best mark I can achieve in football. After that, my challenge is to score 1,000 goals.

“With one difference, all the goals I score are on video. So I can prove it’s (real).”

The confession stunned the former centre-back, who replied: “Damn! How old will you be when you’re still playing?”

Ronaldo confidently claimed he could make up the deficit in less than two years if he stayed injury-free: “41? We don't know. But if I don’t have any injuries.”

In his current form, you would have to be brave to bet on Ronaldo reaching 1,000 career goals, and who knows, maybe his 40s will be even more fruitful than his 30s!
