Danny Amendola jokes he should monetize feet pics after going barefoot for DWTS routine

Danny Amendola isn't against selling feet pictures after retiring from the NFL.

“I love feet, you can walk on them every day,” said Amendola, 38 Us weekly exclusively following the Dancing with the stars Live show on Tuesday October 15th. “They are dancing feet, they are working feet. My feet are horrible to look at, but yeah, thanks for being a fan.”

Amendola, of course, thanked his WikiFeet fans (yes, there is a celebrity feet ranking website), where he apparently boasts a pretty high score.

“Trust me, these feet are not pretty,” Amendola said Us.

The conversation about feet came after Amendola's dance partner Witney CarsonHe shared a social media video of the former soccer star taping up his feet.

“I didn’t even think about that when we were making the video,” Carson, 30, explained. Amendola joked: “Maybe I should start monetizing this.”

On a more serious note, the athlete explained that taping his feet helped all along DWTS Process – especially with his contemporary routine on Tuesday.

“Barefoot on wood, when you spin around, it’s a bubble city,” Amendola explained. “I think I just taped up three toes that are throbbing. That’s the dance life, man.”

Amendola danced to “Unsteady (Erich Lee Gravity Remix)” by X Ambassadors at Dedication Night. The routine was dedicated to the football player's late Texas Tech football coach. Mike Leachwho died in December 2022 at the age of 61 as a result of heart disease.

“He taught us a lot about resilience and courage. His saying was, 'Swing your sword,' and whenever you went into a situation, he would associate it with being a pirate,” Amendola recalls Us. “He was obsessed with pirates. If you know Mike Leach, you know Mike Leach.”

Amendola said Leach would always “commit” to what he and Carson embodied during their performance.

The athlete told Us It was somehow palpable on such an emotional evening, especially when his introductory package was shown before their dance.

“When I watched the promo before we started dancing, I definitely felt a deep emotion,” he said. “I just went through everything Coach Leach did for me and all my ex-teammates and tried to channel that. It was good.”
