Danny Amendola will dedicate a routine to Mike Leach on “Dancing With the Stars.”

It's been nearly two years since his death in December 2022, but former Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi State coach Mike Leach continues to play a major role throughout college football.

“I truly believe Coach Leach has taught everyone here that they can believe again, and he did it in his own unique, Washington State way,” Cougars coach Jake Dickert said just last month The AP's Tim Booth.

That's been the case virtually everywhere he's left off, and on Tuesday, former Red Raiders wide receiver Danny Amendola will attest to Leach's impact on the national stage.

Amendola will dedicate a routine to Tuesday's episode of Dancing with the stars to Leach, according to a report from Maureen Lee Lenker Thursday afternoon Weekly entertainment via Grace Ybarra of WCBI-TV in Columbus, Miss.

By handlebars, Amendola and his partner Witney Carson will dance to a remix of “Unsteady,” a No. 20 hit for X Ambassadors, in December 2016.

Amendola played for Texas Tech from 2004 to 2007 and won two Super Bowls in his 13-year, five-team NFL career.
